Art Licensing
A selection of my floral illustrations and repeat patterns are available for licensing, and I am available for custom designs and commissions.
Every design starts as a drawing in my sketchbook, from a day spent exploring botanical gardens.
I then develop the artwork using a mixture of analogue materials, Adobe Fresco and Illustrator, turning them in to vector illustrations and surface patterns inspired by the natural world.
Clematis Bloom
This collection is inspired by one of my favourite flowers - the Clematis. During a drawing trip to Cornwall, I snapped a photo of Clematis trailing up a fence on the coast path. That photo became the reference for several pages in my sketchbook, which later became these floral motifs and repeat patterns. The colour palette is made up of the pink and mauve hues of the florals themselves, green foliage, and the brown and ochre tones of the fence and gravel path.
Spring Rose Garden
Inspired by a sunny, late spring afternoon spent sketching in a rose garden, surrounded by delicious scents and beautiful blooms trailing up the trellis. This collection started life as pages and pages of rose drawings in my sketchbook, before being turned in to vector illustrations and surface patterns. The colour palette is made up of dusky petal pinks, soft leaf greens and golden hues, reminiscent of antique roses and vintage gardening books.
